So in the beginnings of a new blog, I figured I'd start off writing about my biggest celebrity inspiration, Elizabeth Woolridge Grant AKA 'Lana Del Rey.' Lana is best known for her music career, releasing chart topping hits such as 'Summertime Sadness' and internet (Tumblr) sensations like 'Video Games.' I discovered Lana's music when I was 14, an age when I was only just starting to figure out my musical preferences. I was first struck by the song Born To Die as I was aimlessly scrolling through Tumblr, and later on listened to the entire deluxe edition of the album 'Born to Die: Paradise.' This has stayed my number one favourite album ever since, my favourite track being 'Yayo.' The album tells a story of freedom, alcoholism, drug abuse and youth. One of Lana's best known phrases stemmed from this album, as she recites during the intro to the 1o minute long video to 'Ride' "Live fast, Die Young, Be Wild and
BLUE LIPS - TOVE LO Albums like Blue Lips are very important in the music industry at the moment. Aesthetics are an on going playing card in the distribution of albums. With both the actual imagery and the music Tove Lo is always creating a picture, almost an alternative world that's ever so dark and dreary, but romantic. Recently I have discovered Tove Lo's new album. This was one of those albums where as soon as I heard it, I connected with it and felt the urge to discuss it with everyone- hens the blog post. Tove Lo is huge in the music industry at the moment, not only as a successful chart topping pop artist but also as a songwriter. She currently has 8,318,154 monthly listeners on spotify. She was also a collab writer in one of my favourite Lorde tracks 'Homemade Dynamite.' And personally I could really hear that Tove Lo was part of the writing process- with the up front, brutally honest vibe. I was very happy to realise that there was anothe
